Today Mommy and Daddy had a party - something about "Bon Voyage" and also "Happy Birthday, Mommy." I played with everyone for awhile, but then I fell asleep in my bouncy seat. So I sat on the screen porch while the grownups stayed outside at the grill.

Today I tried something new. Apparently, it's got rice in it. I'm not too sure I like it, and I don't really understand the point.

Today we had to drive around in the car for a while so some strangers could look at our house. At least I've got a rattle to play with and my fist to chew on!

Today we had a big day! We went to the Zoo, and I watched lots of animals. First there was a tiger (above), then there were some alpacas:

And even some fish!

Also, Mommy made me a sweater while the Olympics were on. She was very proud of it (she kept calling it a Gold Medal sweater), and she made me put it on for pictures. Good thing it's short sleeved!

Tonight we went to an outdoor movie (that's why it's dark outside)! It was about a wizard boy named Harry something, but I only paid attention to the beginning. Then I sang, and then we got up and moved to a place on the hill where there were no people! No one to enjoy my singing! So then I cried for just a little bit and then I went to sleep. It was a fun night.

Today we went to a pool party for my friend's 4th birthday. I wasn't too sure about the pool part - that water is cold! I cried everytime more of my body got wet. But once I got used to it, I decided it wasn't too bad... Maybe someday I'll really like the water. Someday.

Once we got out of the pool, I was happy!

My friend Lily is about exactly 1 year older than me (her birthday is March 11th). She was a great hostess and offered me some cake, but I said "No, thanks - I haven't even eaten rice cereal yet!"

So I don't really sleep in my bassinette, but sometimes I hang out in it. I'm only happy for a few seconds, though. Then the screaming starts. But then I get rescued, and it's all happy again!
